iMac升级通知
  1. 更换了HDMI连接线,舞台提词器屏幕应该会更加稳定,请留意。
  2. 两台iMac为英文早晚堂及中文堂、缅甸堂设置了各自的登陆帐户。请留意:
    1. 使用正确的帐户登陆两台iMac,并记得在使用后注销登陆(帐户与密码私下通知);
    2. 请在使用同步(syncing)功能时使用正确的共享文件夹,中文堂使用“chinesePPshare”(在小iMac上有效)。

Hi everyone, you are getting this email because you are on the sound/projection rosters at WBC. If you do sound only, you can probably ignore the rest of the email. (Also, feel free to forward this email to others).
Today I made two major changes to the iMacs at church which should significantly improve the experience for people operating ProPresenter. Firstly, I bought a new thunderbolt to HDMI adapter for the stage display, meaning that stage display will now work properly and consistently! (hopefully haha)…. Secondly, I made different accounts (logins) for each service on BOTH iMacs.
There are two important implications:
1) Please make sure that you use the correct account for your service. This applies to both iMacs. LOGOUT when you are finished. The passwords are at the bottom of this email. Please do not change them. I have but a different wallpaper for each profile so hopefully that will be a give away if someone leaves it logged in.
2) There is now another consideration when syncing because each service now has a different shared folder (instead of the one which used to be called PP5 share). This does not effect how you sync on the big iMac, but on the little iMac, you need to make sure it is syncing from the correct folder. They are named as follows:
earlymorningPPshare (for when the morning service splits)
morningPPshare
eveningPPshare
chinesePPshare
karenniPPshare
Obviously you should choose the correct one for your service. These folders are all located in the same place that the “PP5 Share” folder used to be. I have attempted to get everything right on each profile (lyrics, video, images, stage display, bibles, songselect) but just in case something was overlooked I will also be there for the prep/start of each service on Sunday. I did delete a fair bit of content (and every cue) so if something is missing that you really need let me know and I can still recover it. I have also tailored the content a bit to each service.
Overall, I think this is going to have a very significant effect on the performance of ProPresenter (I have already noticed it). Sync is way quicker too. Please feel free to contact me (0432572749) if you have questions.
